AXO House

The beautiful Alpha Chi Omega House located at 137 C Street in Downtown Davis!

In 1984, at the University of California, Davis, there was a growing interest in the expansion of the Davis Panhellenic community. Four sororities presented proposals to be the new sorority on campus and Alpha Chi Omega was chosen.
Maureen Mason and Panhellenic President Kathy Hayes helped run recruitment. Also on the Alpha Chi Rush Team were National Vice President-Members, Betty Wall, National Panhellenic Delegate, Jan Miller, Collegiate Field Consultant, Donna McGrath, and former National Vice President-Collegians, Ellen Vandenbrink along with actives from UC Berkeley and Sacramento State. At the end of recruitment, eighty-three women were invited to partake in the new sorority at UC Davis. These women were initiated on June 7, 1985 as the Theta Pi Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega.
