Traditions are very important to Alpha Chi Omega, since they all contribute to the history that binds us together. Many of the traditions and dates we celebrate have been honored for nearly 119 years. These important dates include:
Founder's Day
Every year on October 15th, the sisters of Alpha Chi Omega gather to recognize the fall founding at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. On Founders' Day, it is traditional to wear badges, and scarlet red & olive green ribbons.
March 1st, every year, is when Alpha Chi Omega celebrates Hera Day (Hera is our patron). We celebrate by doing unselfish, random acts of kindness for others.
Each collegiate chapter celebrates its Chapter's Founding date. At UC Davis, we celebrate Theta Pi's founding on June 7th.
